Great harvest!

I'm a bit late in writing this review. In 2021, we ordered and planted (around June 8th) 20 Orleans sweet potato slips in 30" high raised beds, here in the outlying Twin Cities area of MN. We were thrilled when we pulled up over 72# of potatoes in the fall!! Some were a bit bigger than finger thickness, but most were good "eating" size. A few were huge - 12-14" long by about 3" in diameter. We are ordering these again, this year! Adam has been SO helpful, when chatting with him on the phone with questions. Thank you Sprout Mountain Farms for an excellent product!!

Great for short season regions

We grew Orlean for the first time last season. There were a couple mishaps in getting our slips on time so they arrived 3 weeks late. We're north of Pittsburgh and we have a short growing season. We dug the taters in mid-October and we were stunned at the quantity and the quality. We grew a third of an acre and ended up with 8 800# totes. Incredible.

My first job was as a cashier at a little convenience store in the center of our quaint sea-side town up here in Mautschsseats. I was THE FIRST GIRL THEY EVER HIRED! LOL. Okay, the year was 1976. It was part time after school. I have absolutely no recollection of the hourly wage.

Fusarium Resistant and Very Productive
Dec 8, 2016
We grew Orleans last season for the first time. We have had no fusrium-related post-storage rot issues (an issue in past seasons for us). It is also the most productive sweet potato that we have ever grown, both in terms of overall production and production of #1 sweet potatoes (more than Beauregard, Covington, and Georgia Jet).
