Cal White was released by the University of California in 1997. This variety with impressively high yields (1000Cwt/acre in research trials), early maturity, and excellent taste!

Percentage of #1 tubers regularly reaches 90%.
Growing Guide: Early-Mid to Early Maturity. Spacing 6-9 inches. Moderate to high nitrogen.

Tubers are susceptible to "heat sprouting" if left in high temperature soils at, or near maturity.
Disease Resistance Characteristics: Moderately resistant to Fusarium seed piece decay, scab.
Susceptible to storage soft rots, Late blight, PLRV, PVY, net necrosis.
Moderately susceptible to Early blight, Verticillium wilt.
Excellent for fresh market tablestock, especially boiling, salads, and soups.
